• The poem is funny because the robot never seemed to function like it was expected out of the robot. It would malfunction at every point of the house. It was defective robot created by the speaker's brother.
• The robot instead of dusting the room, used to gobble up the dust pan and would aggressively chase the creator, that is, the speaker's brother and the speaker with the cleaning broom. Not only did it do that, it also destroyed pillows and the beds they were on.
• The robot also tied socks into knots and would drop them in the kitchen. It would also destroy kitchen utensils. The washroom was filled with sand by the disfunctional robot.
