we know that
 {h}^{2}  =  {p}^{2} +  {b}^{2}   \\  {h}^{2}  =  {24}^{2} +  {18}^{2} \\  {h }^{2} = 576 + 324 \\  {h }^{2}    = 900 \\ h =  \sqrt{900 }  \\ h = 30cm

Given - Height and base

Find - Length of the hypotenuse

Solution - The length of the hypotenuse of a given right-angled triangle is 30 centimetres.

The length of the hypotenuse can be calculated using the Pythagoras theorem. As per the Pythagoras theorem -

hypotenuse² = base² + height².

Hence, keeping the values in the formula to find the length of the hypotenuse.

Hypotenuse² = 18² + 24²

Hypotenuse² = 324 + 576

Hypotenuse² = 900

Hypotenuse = ✓900

Hypotenuse = 30 centimetres.

Thus, the length of the hypotenuse of a given right-angled triangle is 30 centimetres.
