Helen would sit on a fallen tree so long that many shy animals of the forest would step across her feet not realizing that she was there. She would sit still as could be and listen for the sounds that she understood—she would imagine the sounds of and twigs creaking faintly when birds alight on them. She also could imagine the grass swaying as a small insect brushed its wings against it.
The smells and vibrations of the forest were of great relaxation to Helen Keller and she thoroughly enjoyed every minute she was able to spend with nature.

She loved animals and birds. She takes great care of them. First we have seen that she had a dog named Belle. She played with it and took care of it. Next example is that on the eve of Christmas her teacher gifted a canary. She fed it,cleaned it, and took care of it on her own and when that canary was caught by a big cat she regretted to left the cage open and was feeling bad. She loved that canary. These examples prove her love towards animals and birds.
