Helen's father had every quality of a gentleman. he was devoted to his family .
he loved his wife and both daughters very much. he never treated Helen as a burden . he also tried very hard for Helen's education. he took her to a famous oculist , then to Graham bell , then he wrote a letter to Mr. anagos and he arranged ms. Sullivan for Helen.
her father was famous for his hospitality . Helen recollects that he only sometimes came house without guests.
Helen's father liked to give her anything that pleases her. he sometimes used to spell a story on her hand for her entertainment .
