The volume of new cylinder = 2(the volume of cylinder), proved.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let radius of cylinder = r and the height of cylinder = h

Show that, the volume of new cylinder will be doubled.

∴ The volume of cylinder =\pi r^{2}h     ..... (1)

The radius of new cylinder = 2r and the height of cylinder = \dfrac{h}{2}

=\pi (2r)^{2}\dfrac{h}{2}

=\pi\times 4r^{2}\times\dfrac{h}{2}

=2(\pi\times r^{2}h)

Using (1), we get

=2(The volume of cylinder), proved.

Hence, the volume of new cylinder = 2(the volume of cylinder)
