Helen Keller was born in a small town, Tuscumbia, in Alabama. When she was 19 months old, she felt victim to a mysterious diseases. It end up in losing her ability to hear and see things.

Her parents wanted to educate her but they lived far from any school for the blind and deaf. But, they did not lose hope. They decided to visit an eye surgeon in Baltimore. The surgeon suggested them to meet Mr Bell in Washington. He asked them to write letter to Mr Anagnos. Anagnos arranged Miss Sullivan for her. From the beginning Helen's parents supported her, helped her in every way so that she could interact with everyone. They are truly a role model for other parents.
