Hey mate here is your answer♥️♥️
College did not live up to Helen Keller's expectations because she previously loved learning for the sake of learning and she felt that college did not allow for that. Helen Keller was very excited to finally go to college, because she worked so hard to get there being blind

QUESTION –

What Disappointed Helen at the college?

ANSWER–

Helen discover that college is not filled with greatness and wisdom. It can be there, but that has to be extracted from great labour. She feels that college is not a place where scholars teach philosophy, but a place where the overtaxed mind cannot enjoy that treasures it has secured at the greatest cost. So,she is disappointed. In a college, The students barely get the time to actually think, to reflect or to talk to their minds.

The thing she misses the most is the time to think and reflect. It seems to her that a student goes to college to learn and not to think. There is No interaction between the students and teachers. She feels that a college, students are always rushing for everything — one subject leads to another, one book leads to another and there is hardly and end to it. Leisure and the joy of books are better than the joy that college education promises. College life is a rush where one learns what one does, but fails to understand. The professor is as remote as if he is speaking through a telephone. She finds it much easier to be taught by herself than to receive instruction in class. Helen soon discovers that college is Not quite the romantic institution she had imagined It to be. She realises that she could better study at home under some guidance.
