oxidising agent :-

the substance which oxidises other substance and itself gets reduced such type substance are known as oxidising agent .


for example :-

KMnO4

HNO3


Reducing agent :-

The substance which reduces others but itself gets oxidised that types substance are known as reducing agent .


example :-

CO

HCL

Mno2

oxidation :-

gain of oxygen loss of hydrogen .

reduction :-

gain of Hydrogen or loss of Oxygen .

oxidising agent is the substance in the reaction which undergoes reduction for making the other substance oxidised.

reducing agent is the substance in the reaction which undergoes oxidation for reducing the other substance.

lookout for an redox reaction and you will easily get it.
