The acceleration of car = 5m/s^2.

The deceleration f car = 3m/s^2.

The total time in which the car stars from rest and completes its journey =6sec

Let the car accelerates from rest for t seconds and after reaching maximum velocity , it decelerates for time 6-t seconds.

If the maximum velocity is V. By using the formula v= u + at for journey of t time.

Final velocity = v

Initial velocity =0

acceleration = 5m/s^2

time=t

v=0 +5t

or v=5t..............(1)

///////////////////////////

Again using the formula for journey of 6-t sec...

final velocity =0

Initial velocity =V

time= 6-t sec

acceleration = -3m/s^2 ( becuse deceleration =3m/s^2.

0= v - 3(6-t)

v=18-3t...............................(2)

By equation (1) & (2)..

5t = 18-3t

8t=18

t=18/8 =9/4.

so by first equation v=5t =45/4 =11.25m/s
