types:
thallophyta: in this the plant body is not differentiated, its body is like thallus, absence of vascular tissues, usually found in moist or wet places, reserve food is generally starch
it includes algae, fungi, lichens etc.
bryophyta: also known as amphibian of plant kingdom, land plants (terrestrial) with some aquatic forms, depend on water for fertilization, photosynthetic, non-vascular plants, cuticle and stomata are absent
example : liverwort, moss etc.
pteridophyta: plant body is differentiated into leaves, stem and roots, presence of vascular tissues, growing in the moist and shady regions, shows large variation
examples: ferns, horsetail etc
gymnosperms: have unprotected seeds(naked seeds), do not produce flowers, do not produce fruits, pollinated by the wind
example: cycads, ginkgo etc
angiosperms: have flowers and produce seeds enclosed within a carpel
have small pollen grains that spread genetic information from flower to flower, have stamens
examples: shrubs, grasses etc
