Does anyone know the answer of :
Why are low-lying lands more suitable for agriculture than hilly areas?
Why should we discourage shifting cultivation?
Also somebody inst id please​

Answer:

The main reason of low lying area more fit for agricultural purpose is due to the increase in the periodic flooding that makes the soil richer in nature. If we take hilly land then they suffer from erosion, the degree of rockiness, terrain and even the soil depth is not accurate

Shifting agriculture is being discouraged because , this leads to deforestation . The major disadvantage of Shifting Cultivation is that many trees in the forest are cut and this increases soil infertility and leads to soil erosion.
