hello everyone .. it is about my homework .. i cant understand a exercise of my book can anyone pls pls explain me and tell me the answer I have also marked the question in green colour marker or paint for those which I need the answers

Q1 (i) 30 cm of 1.5m
Here, we have to express it as percentage

First, change them into similar units i.e.
1 m = 100cm
Then, 1.5m = 1.5×100 = 150 cm
Express this as percentage=
$(100 \times \frac{30}{150} )\% = 20\%$
Therefore, answer is 20%

Similarly, we have to solve the rest three questions.

Q2 i) What percent of 25 is 6 1/4 ?

Let x% of 25 be 25/4 ( 6 1/4 = 25/4)
Then,
$25 \times \frac{x}{100} = \frac{25}{4}$
$x = \frac{25}{4} \times \frac{100}{25} = 25\%$
Similarly, we have to solve the rest three questions.

Q3) Marks secured by Riana = 433
Total Marks = 500

When expressed as fraction =
$\frac{433}{500}$
Now we simply have to multiply by 100 to covert it into percent
$100 \times \frac{433}{500} = 86.6\%$

Q4) Salary of teacher = Rs. 22,800
Percentage of increment

Therefore, Increase in salary =

5% of salary =
$22800 \times \frac{5}{100} = 1140$
Then, Increased salary = Original salary + Increase in salary

= 22800+1140 = Rs 23, 940
