Answer: 4 N and upward direction

Firstly I just added those 16 Newton and 4 newton forces together and since it was equal to it's opposite force they both cancel each other.

And secondly the 4 newton force coming towards downward direction got cancelled by 8N force and in that 8N force 4 N left out which was forcing the object towards upward direction
