Hey guys...✌✌
Both fission and fusion are nuclearreactions that produce energy, but the applications are not the same. Fissionis the splitting of a heavy, unstable nucleus into two lighter nuclei, andfusion is the process where two light nuclei combine together releasing vast amounts of energy.
HOPE IT HELPS YOU !!

NUCLEAR FISSION
i) A heavy nucleus breaks upto to form two lighter nuclei.
ii) It involves a chain reaction
iii) The heavy nucleus is bombarded with neutrons
iv) We have proper mechanisms to control fission reaction for generating electricity.
v) Disposal of nuclear waste is involved.
vi) Raw material is not easily available and is costly.
NUCLEAR FUSION
i) Two nuclei combine to form a heavy nucleus.
ii) Chain Reaction is not involved.
iii) Light nuclei are heated to an extremely high temperature.
iv) Proper mechanisms to control nuclear fusion are yet to be developed
v) Disposal of nuclear waste is not involved.
vi) Raw material is comparatively cheap and easily available.
