Answer:

1.)720°

2.)120°

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the sum of the interior angles of a hexagon, divide it up into triangles... There are four triangles...  Because the sum of the angles of each triangle is 180 degrees...  We get

                4 x 180° = 720°

since it is a regular hexagon then, All sides are the same length (congruent) and all interior angles are the same size (congruent).

then, dividing the total sum of angels by number of side we get measure of each angle

               720° /  6  =  120°

-------hope this will help you  :)

The sum of the interior angles of a regular hexagon is 720° and each angle is 120°

Given:

Find the sum of the interior angles of a regular hexagon. Also find the measure of each angle.

Solution:

Regular hexagon:

A Regular polygon is a geometric object with two dimensions and a fixed amount of sides. A polygon's sides or edges are formed by connecting end-to-end segments of a straight line to create a closed shape.

In a regular polygon length of the all sides will be equal. The closed polygonal shape of a regular hexagon will have six equal sides and six equal angles.

Note: The sum of all the interior angles of a regular polygon is always equal to (n−2)×180° where 'n' is the number of sides of the polygon.

As we know,

Number of sides in hexagon = 6

Sum of all interior angles = (6−2)×180°

= 4 × 180° = 720°

Measure of each angle = 720°/6 = 120°

Therefore,

The sum of the interior angles of a regular hexagon is 720° and each angle is 120°
