A•C = Alternating Current.

D•C = Direct Current.

Definition of A•C and D•C is

if the current flows in one direction only, it is called a Direct Current OR D•C.

for example :-

Television works on Direct Current.

And

if the Current reverses direction after equal interval of time, it is called Alternating Current OR A•C.

for example -

Large power house generator produce Alternating Current.

Some Gadgets which works on Both Currents i.e, A•C and D•C are -
