under the draught constitution the president of has the same position as the king under the English constitution he is the head of the state but not of the executive he represents the nation but does not rule the nation he is the symbol of the nation his place in the administration is that of a criminal device or a seal by which the Nation's decisions on president of The United States is not bound to accept any advice to him by any office secretaries the President of the India Union will be generally bound by the advice of his ministers he can do nothing contrary to their advice nor can he do anything without their advice the president of the Indian Union has no power to do so long as his administrator ministers and a majority in Parliament...."

On 29 August 1947, the Constituent Assemblyset up a Drafting Committee under the Chairmanship of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar to prepare a draft Constitution for India.It was this committee that was entrusted with the task of preparing in a draft of the new constitution.
