Here is your answer
The purpose of death is to make room for the next generation, in every species on earth. Even trees that can live for a thousand years die eventually. Vitamins and doctors only forestall the inevitable, they allow people to live longer by a few years, nothing more. The human body begins to deteriorate the older it gets. Eyes fail having been used every day for eighty years, kidneys, liver, intestines, skin. All these systems wear out over time, they are designed to.

As to why people are afraid of death, it’s because by that age they have become attached to their bodies. In reality when we die, the time between incarnations is brief and most of us choose to return to a human body, though not all. If more people understood this things would probably be differen

Hope this help you

The main and the sole purpose of death itself is to support life.
If organism does not die or IF LIFE DOES NOT END, then new life will not come into existence.

Many consider death as a change to end the old and provide new the chance to thrive. Death is the ultimate change. Remember "Change is permanent and rest is temporary."
However, if the end of old does not lead to the existence of new, in such case, the old is granted "immortality" to thrive life.
