A good topic can take the competition to a new level of excitement. Here are some good topics I've come across and thought in my mind.
As you haven’t mentioned the purpose or the kind of people involved in the competition, I have given the topics based on age. I won't say it is perfectly sorted out, but I've tried my best :)
