Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

The angles of a Trapezium are (a+10)° and (a-20)°

To find :-

Find the measure of a ?

Solution :-

Given that

PQRS is a Trapezium.

< QPS = (a-20)°

< RSP = (a+10)°

They are adjacent angles of the Trapezium and

They are adjacent angles between the two parallel lines PQ and SR

We know that

The adjacent angles between two parallel lines are supplementary in a trapezium.

=> < QPS + < RSP = 180°

=> (a-20)°+(a+10)° = 180°

=> a-20° +a+10° = 180°

=> (a+a) +(-20°+10°) = 180°

=> 2a +(-10°) = 180°

=> 2a -10° = 180°

=> 2a = 180°+10°

=> 2a = 190°

=> a = 190°/2

=> a = 95°

Therefore, a = 95°

Answer:-

The measure of a for the given problem is 95°

Used formulae:-

→ The adjacent angles between two parallel lines are supplementary in a trapezium.
