Hello guys!

During the process of formation of a Recombinant DNA (that is addition of the gene of interest with the plasmid), we use the restriction endonucleases to cut at the restriction sites and then ligate the gene of interest on that side after this process we get the product but why the restriction endonuclease didn't cut the product although it also have the same restriction site as the earlier the plasmid and the gene of interest alone have????
