Hello guys please tell me why the Ancient Mariner did not die at the end but the other mariners died...but actually the Ancient Mariner had done the wrong not the other mariners...??plz tell no spam

The mariner comitted the sin so god had a bigger and woeful punishment for him. The god chose him to spread the lesson he learnt from his sufferings. he didnt deserve an easy death rather he was cursed to remorse his agony by narrating the story and spreading the meessage: Respect and appreciate all of god's creations, no matter how great or small. All these experiences changed his point of view about nature, he now viewed it as an aspect of life worth cherishing. He carries the guilt of killing the Albatross and wishes he had more respect for nature back then, and this guilt forced him into repentance in the form of narrating the story to everyone.
As far as the sailors are concerned they had become party to the crime by praising the mariner for killing the albatross, so their punishment was rotten and slow death.
