Answer:-

Given:-

Area of Isosceles Triangle = 300 cm²

Height of Triangle = 15cm

Now,

Area of Triangle = 300cm²

= 1/2 × base × Height = 300

= Base = 300 × 2/15

= Base = 20 × 2

= Base = 40cm

Now,

By Pythagoras Theorem,

= Hypotenuse² = (Base/2)² + Height²

= H² = (40/2)² + 15²

= H² = 20² + 15²

= H² = 400 + 225

= H = √625

= H = 25cm

We know that, In an Isosceles Triangle two sides are equal.

= Perimeter = ( 25 + 25 + 40)

= Perimeter = 90cm

Hence,

Perimeter of a Triangle is 90cm.

faizal02: thanks but i want to ask that why you have divide base by 2...

\huge\boxed{\underline{\underline{\bf{Answer}}}}

Given : The area of an isosceles triangle is 300cm

             Height of the triangle =  15cm

To find : The perimeter of the triangle.

Now, Area of Triangle =  1/2 × base × height

( Base is not given, so we need to find base first! )

300 = 1/2 × b × 15

600 = 15b

Base = 600 / 15

Base = 40 cm

Using Pythagoras theorem :-

In Triangle ABD

a = √b²+h²

= √20²+15²

= √400+225

= √625

a = 25

Now, The perimeter of the triangle which we need to find actually :-

Perimeter of the triangle ( formula ) :

P =  a + a + b

= 25 + 25 + 40

= 90 cm

\implies\boxed{\mathsf{Perimeter\:of\:the\:triangle\:=\:90cm}}

faizal02: plz tell
Anonymous: because for finding the area we have to chose 1 triangle
Anonymous: so i chose Triangle ABD
faizal02: oo
