The term Nation is quite subjective. Different people hold different meanings. The way they perceive a nation is different.

As per dictionary, a nation is a large body of people united by common descent, history, culture, or language, inhabiting a particular country or territory.

If we get into social sciences, along with the definition of the dictionary few more things are added onto the definition.

A nation is governed by a head.

A nation covers a particular territory which is officially recognised.

A nation's people consider themselves a together and have a sense of belongingness.

No matter how much we explain, a nation can never be 'properly' defined.
