Total Days-3
Total Km-33
1st day travels-x
2nd day travels:x-3
3rd day he travels-2x
The terms in X
:- x+(x-3)+2x=33(1)
4x=33+3
4x=36(2)
Now x =36/4=9 from (2)
First day He travels 9 km
second day x-3= 9-3=6
Third day 2x=9*2=18
To verify the answer let's add all the data
9+6+18=33
So the answer is correct.
The question has asked to find distance travelled on 2nd day before FIRST DAY to confuse us.
Hope it Helps.
