Molarity = given mass ÷ molecular mass × volume in liter

Volume = 500 ÷ 1000 = 0.5 liter

Molarity = 5 ÷ 40 × 0.5
Molarity = 0.0625

Hope it helps you ...

Number of moles = 4/40 = 0.1

Volume = 500 ml = 0.5 litres

Molarity = moles/volume(in litres)

= 0.1/0.5

= 0.2 moles

Molarity of NaOH solution is 0.2 moles

HOPE IT HELPS
