Hello✌️✌️
My question is:-
Differences between speed and velocity.
NO SPAMS PLEASE
Answers
Speed is the distance travelled by an object per unit time. It's SI unit is m/s. It is a scalar quantity that is , it only has magnitude and no direction. It is Distance/time.
Velocity is the speed of the object is a certain direction. It's SI unit is m/s too. It is a vector quantity that is, it has both magnitude and direction. It can be zero too. It is Displacement/time.
Cheers!
Difference between speed and velocity :
1) The magnitude of speed is always greater or equal to the magnitude of velocity .
2) Velocity can be positive, negative or zero but speed will always be positive. It can not be negative or zero.
3) Speed is scaler quantity but velocity is vector quantity.
