Explanation:

  1. In the series combination the brightness will be less as compared to the parallel combination due to more resistance being faced in series combination.
  2. If a bulb gets fused in series the rest two bulbs won't glow because the circuit will be broken for the other two also, whereas in the parallel combination the rest two bulbs will glow because the circuit is not broken for them.

additional information.

  1. mostly there are parallel combination in circuits at house to reduce resistance and give better performance by the appliances.
  2. Series combination has the highest resistance as we go further in the circuit the resistance will go on increasing ,hence the current will be reduced.
