Q1 (a) R_{eq} =R_{1} +R_{2}   (b)  \frac{1}{R} =\frac{1}{R_{2} } +\frac{1}{R_{3} }

Q2 R_{eq} = 0.4+0.4+0.4=1.2 ohm

Q3 Connect them parallel, you will get 1Ω. (Draw a diagram too, its impressive! I'm giving you free tips, so enjoy.)

Q4 Let two resistances, A and B be 'x' and 'y' respectively.

R(series)= x+y

R(parallel)= \frac{xy}{x+y}

Clearly, parallel combination has less equivalence than series resistance.

Q5 (i) R= 20Ω  (ii) R'= \frac{10.1000}{10+1000}= 9.9Ω {R>R'}

Q6 (i) R= 6+4 = 10Ω  (ii) (4*4)/(4+4)= 2Ω.
