Let,

the present age of son be 'x yrs'.

Then, the present age of his father = 4x yrs

After 20 yrs,

Age of son = (x+20)yrs

Age of father = (4x+20)yrs

Now,

A/Q \: = > 4x + 20 = 2(x + 20) \\ = > 4x + 20 = 2x + 40 \\ = > 4x - 2x = 40 - 20 \\ = > 2x = 20 \\ = > x = 10

So,

the present age of son = x = 10 years

the present age of father = 4x = 40 years.

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU ☺️...
