Given

  • Initial Velocity = 0 m/s
  • Final Velocity = 20 m/s
  • Time = 5 sec

To Find

  • Acceleration of the vehicle

Solution

v = u + at [First Equation of Motion]

Acceleration of the vehicle :

→ v = u + at

→ 20 = 0 + (a × 5)

→ 20 = 5a

→ 20/5 = a

→ Acceleration = 4 m/s²

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Other Method

  • Acceleration = (v-u)/t

→ (20-0)/5

→ 20/5

→ Acceleration = 4 m/s²

Answer:

Given :-

  • A vehicle starts from rest attain uniform velocity 20 m/s in 5 seconds.

To Find :-

  • What is the acceleration.

Formula Used :-

v = u + at

where,

  • v = Final velocity
  • u = Initial velocity
  • a = Acceleration
  • t = Time

Solution :-

Given :

  • Initial velocity = 0 m/s
  • Final velocity = 20 m/s
  • Time = 5 seconds

According to the question by using the formula we get,

20 = 0 + a(5)

20 = 0 + 5a

20 = 5a

20 ÷ 5 = a

4 = a

a = 4 m/

The acceleration of a vehicle is 4 m/ .
