Given
- Initial Velocity = 0 m/s
- Final Velocity = 20 m/s
- Time = 5 sec
To Find
- Acceleration of the vehicle
Solution
● v = u + at [First Equation of Motion]
✭ Acceleration of the vehicle :
→ v = u + at
→ 20 = 0 + (a × 5)
→ 20 = 5a
→ 20/5 = a
→ Acceleration = 4 m/s²
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Other Method
- Acceleration = (v-u)/t
→ (20-0)/5
→ 20/5
→ Acceleration = 4 m/s²

Answer:
Given :-
- A vehicle starts from rest attain uniform velocity 20 m/s in 5 seconds.
To Find :-
- What is the acceleration.
Formula Used :-
✦ v = u + at ✦
where,
- v = Final velocity
- u = Initial velocity
- a = Acceleration
- t = Time
Solution :-
Given :
- Initial velocity = 0 m/s
- Final velocity = 20 m/s
- Time = 5 seconds
According to the question by using the formula we get,
⇒ 20 = 0 + a(5)
⇒ 20 = 0 + 5a
⇒ 20 = 5a
⇒ 20 ÷ 5 = a
⇒ 4 = a
➠ a = 4 m/s²
∴ The acceleration of a vehicle is 4 m/s² .
