Hello This IS A Serious Chemistry Equation,
Help Me to Balance this,
N02 + H20 -----> HNO3

I tried a lot,
So Finally My Teacher told to Try By Balancing
N2O + H2O--------> HNO3

Here 2,3 all i have written is in Subscripts

I want Both Answers From Answers,

pudina: can you tell me how did your teacher change the reactants
pudina: they were no2 in starting but later you wrote that n2o
Anonymous: She Didnt Change.... She Told To Try Just
Anonymous: Whether its balancing or not...
HarishAS: Bro in Right side NO will also be there.
HarishAS: Now try to balance
EmadAhamed: Excatly

Hello there! As per your question, this is the equation

NO_2 + H_2O --\ \textgreater \  HNO_3

This is the reaction in which Nitric Acid is formed,

There are three elements here,

Reactant side:

N --\ \textgreater \  1

H --\ \textgreater \  2

O --\ \textgreater \  3

Product side:

N --\ \textgreater \  1

H --\ \textgreater \  1

O --\ \textgreater \  3

Everything is fine except hydrogen,

Actually there is a mistake in your question ^.^

The real equation for the formation of Nitric acid is,

3NO_2 + H_2O --\ \textgreater \  2HNO_3 + NO

Thanks :)

Anonymous: Nope Bro Really Teacher Told me NO cant liberate
EmadAhamed: @Surya150803 if you check in chemistry eq. calculator, it says *impossible equation*
EmadAhamed: So the question is wrong, your teacher might be testing you ;p
Anonymous: She Aint
EmadAhamed: Bruh.. this is the right equation ~_~
EmadAhamed: Otherwise, any chemistry calculator just shows *impossible equation*
Anonymous: Bhai Teacher Puri Confident hai.. Sol. Ka
EmadAhamed: teacher is wrong probably .-. powerful calculators can't be wrong
Anonymous: Aab mai kya karu...... Chalo..Thik hai
HarishAS: Sorry, The actual equation is it gives HNO3, HNO2 not NO.

heya mate

here is your answer

N02 + H20 --------------> HN03

balanced equation is

40 N02 + H 20 = 20 NH03 + 20 N0

lets check

LHS

N = 40

O = 80

H = 2

RHS

N = 40

O = 80

H = 20

LHS = RHS

SO, the equation is balanced

now,

2nd equation

N2O + H2O--------> HNO3

now the balanced equation is impossible to get ,, i think some thing went wrong with your equation

well

i think this may be ur reaction

N2O + H2O = NH4NO3
