Answer:

use this formula ...

↕↕↕↕↕↕↕↕↕↕↕↕

(a + b + c)2 = a2 + b2 + c2 +2ab+2bc +2ca. 6. (a + b + c)3 = a3 + b3 + c3+3a2b+3a2c + 3b2c +3b2a +3c2a +3c2a+6abc.

GIVEN:-

  • without actually calculating the cubes find the value of \sf{-17^3+(13)^3+(4)^3}

As we know that if a+b+c=0 then a^3+b^3+c^3=3abc.

So,

\sf{a=-17}

\sf{b=13}

\sf{c=4}

\sf\blue{a+b+c=0=-17+13+4=0}

so,

\sf\blue{a^3+b^3+c^3=3abc}

\sf\red{3(-17)(13)(4)= -2652}

So, The value is -2652.

EXTRA INFORMATION:-

  • (a+b)^2=a^2+b^2+2ab

  • (a-b)^2=a^2-2ab+b^2

  • a^3+b^3=(a+b)(a^2-ab+b^2)
