Answer:

answer 8 i

according to linear variable property sum of both the angle on a straight line would be 180° so

5x +2y - 16=. 180°

put value of y =73 as given in the question

so 5x +2×73 -16 =180°

5x +146- 16 =180°

5x = 180 - 130

x=50÷5=10

ans 8 ii

put the value if x in the equation(same property)

5x +2y -16 =180°

5(14)+2y =180° +16

70 +2y= 196

2y= 196-70

2y= 126

y= 126÷2= 63

answer 9

z =28° (vertically opposite angles are equal)

z+ x= 180•(linera pair )

28 +x =180

x=180-28

x=152

x=y(vertically opposite angles are equal)

so y would also be 152°

now check the sum of all the 4 angles it must be 360°.( angles around a point) property

28 -152+28+152

=360° hence answer is correct.
