hiiiii friend
here is your answer

assuming the base be x so the altitude be x+7
area =  \frac{1}{2}  \times base \times altitude \\ 30 {cm}^{2}  =  \frac{1}{2}  + x \times (x + 7) \\ 60 =  {x}^{2}   +  7x \\  {x}^{2}   + 7x - 60 \\  {x}^{2}  + 12x - 5x - 60 \\ x(x + 12) - 5(x + 12) \\ (x - 5)(x + 12) \\
so either x=5cm or x=-12 cm(invalid)

so the base be 5cm

glad to help you
hope it helps
thank you.

Let the base be 'x' cm
according to question hight = x+7
Area of triangle = 1/2 ×base × hight
30= 1/2 x(x+7)
30= x/2 (x+7)
30×2= x^2 + 7x
60=x^2 +7x
x^2+7x-60 =0 (60=12 × 5
x^2 +12x-5x-60 7= 12 -5)
x(x+12) -5(x + 12)
(x-5) (x - 12)=0
x=5, x= -12
since area is not negative base is 5
hope it helps.....
