  • Given :

➡ A set of 11 tuning fork is arranged in ascending order of freq. Each tuning fork given 5 beats per second with perceding one. The freq. of last fork is 1.5 times of that of first.

  • To Find :

Freq. of first and last fork

  • Explanation :

Each fork produced 5 beats per second with the previous means each fork has freq. 5Hz more than the previous.

➡ So the 11th fork will have freq. 10×5=50Hz more than the first.

➡ So this is an algebraic equation as

1.5x - x = 50

x = 100

frequency of first fork = 100 Hz

frequency of 11th fork = 150 Hz (1.5 times of first fork)
