We have a property that exterior angle is equal to sun of interior opposite angles.

Given, the interior opposite angle to the exterior angle 105° are = 2x , 5x

= 2 (15) , 5 (15)

= 30° , 75°

Let the third angle of the triangle will be C

We have the sum of interior angles of the triangle is 180°

.` . 30° + 75° + C = 180°

C = 180° - 75° - 30°

C = 180° - 105°

C = 75°

Hence, the angles are 30°, 70°, 75°..

Given:

  • One exterior angle of the triangle is 105°
  • The interior opposite angles are in ratio 2:5

To Find:

  • The angles of the triangle.

Solution:

Let one interior opposite angle = 2x

Let other interior opposite angle = 5x

Exterior angle is equal to sum of two opposite interior angles.

⟹ 105° = 2x + 5x

⟹ 105° = 7x

⟹ 105/7 = x

⟹ 15° = x

One angle = 2x = 2(15°) = 30°

Other angle = 5x = 5(15°) = 75°

Let the third angle = a

Sum of all angles of a triangle is 180°

⟹ 30° + 75° + a = 180°

⟹ 105° + a = 180°

⟹ a = 180° - 105°

⟹ a = 75°

The angles of the triangle are 75°, 75° and 30°
