beams width 10cm each
length of beam parallel to the width of window is 50cm and that parallel to the height is 100cm
hence it is divided into 4 parts of equal areas (refer figure)
∴area of open part = 4(area of 1 part)
= 4 (20 × 45)
= 3600 cm²
