i)Baking soda. Main ingredients to make it are sodium chloride carbon dioxide water and ammonium.

ii)Uses or functions of this ingredients are:-

It is used as fire extinguisher as CO2 and H2O are inflamable.

To reduce acidity of stomach as it is basic in nature.

Used to make pakoras and other bakery products ad it contains CO2 which helps in making cake spongy.

NaHCO3 ------------------->Na2CO3 + H2O + CO2

1)baking powder

2)it is a mixture of baking soda and mild edible acid

Baking soda is a compound with chemical formula NaHCo3 which is a mild non corrosive base

Mild acid is mixed so as to provide the baking soda with a H+ ion

Which results in the formation of the corresponding sodium salt of acid

3)when this powder is heated carbon dioxide is formed causing the bread to rise making it spongy

NaHCo3 on heating gives Na2Co3+co2+H2O
