Total Area reserved for Flowers = 3*(12-4) = 3*8 = 24 m^2
Total Area reserved for Grass = 12*5 - 24 = 60 - 24 = 36 m^2
Required Ratio = 24:36 = 2:3
So,
The required Ratio is 2 : 3.

the area of total garden is (12×5)=60meter square
the area for planting flowers is(3×8)=24meter square
so,t he rest of area is (60-24)=36meter square
so the ratio of the garden reserved for planting flowers to the area reserved for the gas is 24:36 =2:3
this is your ans
hope it helps you
