To prove : angle 1 + angle 2 = angle 4
Proof:
by angle sum property,
angle 1 + angle 2 + angle 3 = 180°
angle 1 + angle 2 = 180° - angle 3

by linear pair,
angle 3 + angle 4 = 180°
angle 4 = 180° - angle 3

from eq.1 nd eq.2
angle 1 + angle 2 = angle 4
hence proved!
