the formula for gravity between two objects is

F=GMm/d²

if the distance is halved then,

F=GMm/(d/2)²

F=GMm/d²/4

4F=GMm/d²

Hence,force will become 4 times if distance is halved.

If distance is made infinite then,

with increase in distance continuously,the force of gravitation will start reducing.
