Answer:

Area of Triangle(Formula) = 1/2*b*h

Base = 6+2+6 = 14

Height = 3+2 = 5

Area of the Triangle = 1/2*14*5 = 7*5 = 35 cm²

Area of Square(Formula) = s²

Side = 2

Area of the Square = 2² = 4 cm²

Area of the shaded region = Area of Triangle - Area of Square

                                             = 35 cm² - 4 cm²

                                            = 31 cm²

Answer:

31 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

First take out the area of whole triangle

Area = 1/2 × b × h

Base = (6+6+2) cm

= 14 cm

Height = (3+2) cm

= 5 cm

Area = 1/2 ×14×5

= 35 cm²

Area of square = side × side

= 2×2

= 4 cm²

Area of shaded region =( 35-4 )cm²

= 31 cm²
