So here goes the answer,
1) U= (50-26)
=-24cm
V=(74-50)
=+24cm
Therefore, 1/v-1/u=1/f
=>2/24=1/f
=>f=+12cm
2)U=(50-38)
U=-12cm
But f=12cm therefore, v=0 which means the image is formed at infinity as the object is placed at the focus
