( 2x + 7 ) / ( 5x - 9 ) = 4 /7

( 2x + 7 ) × 7 = ( 5x - 9 ) × 4

14x + 49 = 20x - 36

20 x - 14x = 36 + 49

6x = 85

x = 85/6

x = 14.16....

so your required answer is 14.166...

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

2x+7/5x-9=4/7    (cross multiplication)

7(2x+7)=4(5x-9)

14x+49=20x-36

( take every thing to right hand side )

20x-14x-36-49=0

6x-85=0

6x=85

x=85/6

x=14.166
