Answer:

I have Google loaded on my cell phone (which I use primarily on my cell phone). I also have it on my desktop computer at home ( which will probably be around longer than my cell phone).

I take pictures on the cell phone and they show in my Gallery and they also go to Google photos. I guess there is something about the memory and Google doesn't affect the memory like the Gallery does. All I wanted to do is view Google photos on my desktop. It seems to me there must be an easy way to allow me to do that.

I spent significant time with Aya (she is a smart girl), yesterday morning and I thought everything was going to go as planned. She set a way for the photos to be downloaded and sent to the desktop. Because of the time it took to process the down load, I left and was out running errands. When I returned home I went back to my desktop to discover that only a small percentage of the picture were transferred. Then in checking on my cell phone, the bulk of my photos were gone.

I was frantic.

I tried to get a hold of customer service at Google to recover the photos. All I got was suggestions. I tried some to no avail. (not very computer savoy). I was unable to speak with anyone live.

I was more Frantic.

I contacted customer service at Samsung (the manufacture of my phone) and I turned to problem over to them. He was able to locate all the photos and bring them back to my phone.
