Answer:

Rs.6/- loss or 10% loss

Step-by-step explanation:

cost of 1 mango = 60 / 12 = 5

mangos sold = total mangos - mangos that went bad

12-3 =9

total price at which she sold = 9*6 =54

loss = total CP -total SP =60 -54 = 6

loss% = loss/cp*100 =6/60*100 = 10%

Given

Total number of mangoes bought by hema= 12

The price at she bought them = Rs 60

The number of mangoes that went bad= 3

Price at which the rest of the mangoes were sold = Rs 6

To find

The total loss she has incurred?

Solution

We can easily solve the above problem using basic mathematical equations

The solution to the above problem is as follows

From the given data we can easily find that the number of mangoes remaining  -----  9

So now we can calculate the selling price = (Remaining mangoes* selling price)

So  we get it as - 9×6 = 54Rs ---- Total price for which she sold

  • Now we just have to subtract it from the price which she had bought

We get it as  60-54 =6 Rs

So the total loss she has incurred = 6rs
