Hens are Aves so they lay egg on land and to protect there egg from water loss i.e decication they provide outer calcium carbonate shell while frogs are amphibians they lay there egg in water so they is no no need to protect them from water loss so they do not have hard outer shell....

Answer:

Internal fertilization occurs in hens. Fertilized egg is enclosed in a protective shell covering in the hen's body and is laid outside for development.

In frogs, fertilization and development of zygote both takes place outside of their body, that is, external fertilization.
