Chimera is terrible mythical monster. It is very strange looking because it has parts of three different animals. It has a head of a lion in the front. In the middle it has the head of a goat. And it had a tail of a snake. There was a snake's head at the end of the tail. It could bite like a lion and breathe fire like a dragon. If you looked at it something bad would happen—like a terrible storm or an earthquake. The hero Bellerophon killed chimera with his powerful and brave horse, Pegasus. Pegasus was a horse with wings that could fly.
