Given 1.50 and 5.00.

Now, Multiply each of the given numbers by 100(because there are 2 digits after decimal)

Prime factorization of 150 = 2 * 3 * 5 * 5

Prime factorization of 500 =  2 * 2 * 5 * 5 * 5

LCM(150,500) = 2 * 2 * 3 * 5 * 5 * 5

= > 1500.

Now,

Divide the result by 100 because we have multiplied by 100 earlier).

= > 1500/100

= > 15.

Therefore, the LCM of 1.5 and 5.00 = 15.

Note: I think that LCM is for only positive integers!.

Hope this helps!

See, let we first divide 1.50 and 5.00 by 0.2

then the remainder we will get are 7.5 and 25

then again we will divide 7.5 and 25  by 0.3

the remainder will be 25 and 25

then we will divide 25 and 25 by 5

remainder will be 5 and 5

now, we will divide 5 and 5 by 5

it will be 1 and 1

Hence L.C.M. = 0.2 * 0.3 * 5 * 5    =    1.5
